Insurance Reviews
Insurance reviews can consist of a personal one-on-one consultation where the patient’s past twelve months of medical bills are reviewed and summarized. A personal assessment of healthcare preferences is completed and current insurance options are evaluated. This consultation, which usually takes approximately 1 hour, is designed to help an individual choose between a number of insurance options.

Bill Review and Analysis
Often the most difficult part of healthcare is keeping up with the bills that are received. This service will accept bills, reconcile them to services the patient received, compare them to reasonable and customary charges, and provide a comprehensive summary.

Appointment Services
Doctor and dentist appointments can be time consuming to schedule and at today’s hectic pace, even more difficult to remember. Take the hassle out of your life by allowing your nurse to schedule appointments and send reminders. Your nurse is also available to accompany you on your visits.

Health Profile
This includes a one-on-one consultation where the patient’s current medical profile is created. A health profile consists of a detailed questionnaire where information such as current physicians, medications, insurances, living wills and durable power of attorneys is summarized. All during the consultation the patient will get a chance to have questions answered by a healthcare expert who has time and a desire to help and educate. The consultation will take approximately 1 to 1-1/2 hours.

Hospital Stays
The nurse can facilitate check-in to the hospital, make periodic visits, and provide a summary of services received during the stay.

Treatment Options and Clinical Trials Research
A new diagnosis often generates a need for additional information. Patients want the latest information about the disease, what new treatments are currently being prescribed, or what options might be just around the corner. Others are interested in what treatment options are under clinical trials at the time. Let your nurse do the research for you and present it to you in an understandable format.

Drug Reviews
All medications, including over-the-counter and herbal supplements are reviewed and a profile is prepared showing the prescription, the date and prescribing physician for the medication. A review of the costs is also performed. Any known drug interactions are highlighted.

Prescription Drug Scheduling
Too many pills to take and confused about what to take and when? Let your nurse devise a method to take the guesswork out of your medications.

Coaching for Office Visits
In the confusion of getting to the doctor and then waiting for the appointment, people often forget to ask specific questions about concerns or symptoms. These coaching sessions are designed to provide a list of specific concerns and questions, as well as reminders of information the patient needs to take to their second visit to assist the doctor in addressing any concerns.

Arranging Second Opinions
With a new diagnosis comes the question of whether a second opinion is necessary. Your nurse can investigate other physicians, either local, national, or international, who have an expertise in your disease.
